Built From the Ground Up in the Lehigh Valley
Josh founded Autumn Ridge Landscape & Design after starting his first lawn care business at just 14 years old. What began as a single push mower serving neighbors has evolved into a structured landscape design and hardscape company serving Macungie, Upper Saucon Township, Trexlertown and surrounding Lehigh Valley communities.
A graduate of Penn State University’s Landscape Contracting Program, Josh combines formal education with real-world project management experience. His background in both design principles and field execution allows Autumn Ridge to deliver landscape installations that are not only beautiful but structurally sound and built for Pennsylvania’s climate.
Our Mission
We believe landscaping should be intentional. Every patio, retaining wall, planting plan, and outdoor living space we create is designed with structure, drainage, longevity, and usability in mind.
Unlike companies that focus solely on installation speed, we emphasize proper base preparation, grading, and material selection. This approach ensures that projects across Macungie and the greater Lehigh Valley hold their integrity year after year.
Our goal is simple: create outdoor environments that elevate property value and stand the test of time.
Our Philosophy: Designed Right. Built to Last.
Our Vision
From Passion Project to Reality
“Ever since I was child, I have always loved being outside. I often joke that as a kid I spent more time outdoors than inside and the crazy thing is I can still say the same today. When people ask why I picked this industry, I often respond, “I was the weird kid obsessed with lawnmowers.” For some reason I have always been drawn to the outdoors, whether it be working with my dad around the house or biking around the neighborhood watching the local lawn care companies service their properties. This interest only grew as I got older and has led me to pursue this as a career.
I am very fortunate to say that I am one of the few people who knew what they wanted to do from a young age. I begged my parents for years to let me start a small lawn mowing company and finally when I turned 14 years old, they let me. The rest was history. Josh’s Lawn
Care was born in April of 2018 when I started off pushing my neighbors one acre yard. These humble beginnings taught me the values of hard work and setting goals. I quickly realized that push mowing one acre was tiresome, so I saved up the money and bought myself a lawn tractor later that summer. I thought I was in business then, and the business continued to organically grow year after year. By the time I was a senior in high school, I had 6 of my friends working for me with a lawn mowing and hardscape crew that I ran every day. It was around this time I decided I was going to pursue a degree in this industry to further my academic knowledge.
When it was time for me to decide where to go to college and what I wanted to pursue, the choice was easy. I found out about Penn State’s Landscape Contracting program one night while doing a google search in high school. I immediately knew this was the right fit for me. To this day I think it has been one of the best career decisions I have ever made. I have met countless industry professionals, some of which became close mentors, and have been connected with incredible professors who are always there to support me. The biggest thing I gained from my education was my network. I have met many alumni who have helped me grow my business and gave me advice along the way. I could not believe how many people wanted to help me and teach me about the industry. This inspires me in the future to give back to the next generation.“
